Honey

Name: Honey

Born: 1976

Occupation: Cosmotologist

SWFPI Position: Founder/Investigator

Personal Info:

My name is Honey. I was born in Westland Michigan, and moved to Fort Myers at age 8. I have a lot of hobbies, although this one takes much of my time. I also fossil hunt, horseback ride (retired barrel racer), collect antiques, etc…..

Background:

Although this is my 11th year as a cosmotologist, I am working on a BA in environmental science. My family business is in nuisance wildlife removal, and with that I have an extensive knowledge of native and exotic wildlife.

Why I am interest in the Paranormal:

The house I was born in, in Michigan was haunted. Many people saw things in that house, that could not be explained. I’ve experienced enough paranormal events in my life, to say for sure I believe there are many things science hasn’t discovered, and may never be able to put a finger on. The reason I study paranormal phenomena is because I want to gather information about something many, many people experience and have questions about. I want to answer some of those questions to the best of my ability through the research we do.

Morgan

Investigator: Morgan
Born: 1979
Occumpation: Environmental Consultant
SWFPI Position: Executive Manager/Science Division
Personal Info:
My name is Morgan and I am originally from the historical town of Uniontown Maryland, which is located between Baltimore and Fredrick Maryland. Most of my life was spent living in 200-year-old homes, but to my recollection I have never had or witnessed a paranormal event, only stories around my child hood. I base my arguments and theories off of science, so sometimes I may come off as a skeptic, but prefer to be called open minded skeptic.

Background:
I graduated from Frostburg State University in Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Earth Science in 2002 (geology, geography, natural sciences). I moved to Ft Myers in 2003 where I pursued a career in Environmental Consulting. My training to date involves many aspects of indoor air quality, Asbestos, Environmental Site Assessments, and Materials Testing. Through my professional experience I try to implement an objective and scientifically based process to the investigations and report writing.

Why I am interest in the Paranormal:
Stories of my child hood from the years of 1 and 2 I lived in a “haunted” house according to my family. This, in my later life, sparked my interest in the unknown. For the most part I gained interest in the paranormal because it is an exploration of our world’s unknown, much like the explorations of Jacques Cousteau, to understand the deep’s mysterious unknown, to uncover the enigma of the paranormal.

Rich

Investigator: Rich A. R.
AKA: (Headstone)
Born: 1965 Michigan
SWFPI POSITION: Operations Manager

PERSONAL INFO:
Born a military brat, I was able to travel throughout the United States and spend my younger days on a Pacific island called Guam. Constantly moving, I was able to meet lots of people including a California Girl who became my wife. We now live in Southwest Florida with 3 kids and a kick dog named Mikey.

BACKGROUND:
I’m a captain of a local fire district and in the process of completing my fire science degree. I’ve been in the fire service for approximately 18 years and a traveling poker player. I also have a career history in retail loss prevention, private investigations, and a member of the arson task force.

PARANORMAL BACKGROUND:
I have always been interested in the paranormal or the un-explained for as long as I can remember. I got my start with a friend in the mid 80’s setting up video/ surveilance cameras to catch a reported entity which had been haunting a department store. I then assisted with other camera set ups with a research group as a camera tech. This also peaked my interest in the paranormal well before online groups or the internet. Since then, I’ve investigated several ghost towns, battlefields, and other areas considered to be haunted.

WHAT I BELIEVE:
I believe that most paranormal activity is explainable. However, my experiences in the field of ghost hunting has open my mind to the possibility that we are not alone.

Tracy

Investigator: Tracy
Born: Decemeber 5, 1976
Occupation: Registered Nurse
SWFPI Position: North Florida Case Manager/Investigator

Personal Information: I’m originally from the small town of Lead, South Dakota. In case you’ve never heard of this town, and I’m sure you haven’t, it is near the famous old west town of Deadwood in the Black Hills. I lived here until I graduated from nursing school in May of 2000. It was then that I moved to Sarasota and lived there until I moved up to my curren’t residence of Tampa in 2003. Currently, I am employed as an RN at Memorial Hospital of Tampa.

Background: I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University. Prior to graduation, I worked as an EMT for two local ambulance services and was a volunteer firefighter.

Why I’m Interested In The Paranormal: I have not had any real personal experiences with the paranormal but I am interested in trying to explain the seemingly unexplainable. I’m fascinated by anything that cannot be explained by conventional means. I believe that life does continue after we die and I’m on the search to try and find that one bit of evidence that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that we do go on living in some form or another.

John

Investigator: John
Born: Perth Amboy N.J
SWFPI POSITION: Technical Manager

PERSONAL INFO: A Jersey kid at heart I grew up in the suburbs enjoying ice hockey, skiing, camping, fishing, motocross and just having fun. I worked as an airbrush artist painting custom vans, cars, motorcycles and snow mobiles then moved to Florida in 1982 to pursue a career as an adult but, that plan never worked out the way I wanted it to.

PARANORMAL BACKGROUND:
I’ve been interested in the paranormal and all things that go bump in the night since childhood. I’m opened minded when it comes to paranormal investigation along with any evidence found. My job with the group is on the investigation and technical side with photos, video, infrared, DVR systems, night vision etc. I’m here for a better understanding of what’s on the other side when we pass on.

WHAT I BELIEVE: It is my belief that being professional and having all due respect towards the living and the dead is very important during research and paranormal investigation. I am dedicated to collecting paranormal evidence in hopes that some day it will give us a better understanding of the possible earthly interaction between the Sprits and the living.

Investigator: Julie
Born: 1970
Occupation: Charter School Information Specialist
SWFPI Position: VIP/Founding Member

Personal Info:
I was born in Minnesota, but I have lived in Florida since 1979. My hobbies include reading and writing science fiction and horror, playing the drums, video games, traveling, and I just recently took up sewing.

Why I am interested in the paranormal:
I am mostly interested in psychology and parapsychology. I like to study the person rather than the place. I have found there to be a connection between mental illness and the effects it has on paranormal phenomena.
