We are based out of Lee County in southwest Florida, however we do investigations throughout all of Florida, and occasionally outside of the state of Florida. Who We Are: Our organization consists of diverse individuals with varying faiths, beliefs, and professions. Members volunteer their time to study the paranormal through use of scientific methods expected in our field of research. Evidence we gather is used to educate the public about haunted locations, spirits, natural phenomenon and the history discovered about properties. We do not perform exorcisms or cleanse properties of ghosts, demons, or spirits. We simply observe and record the phenomenon. Many paranormal phenomena’s are actually unexplained natural phenomenon. This years event went very well with 78+ in attendance despite the hard economy. Each year the event has grown. Lets make it 100 next year. We were fortunate enough to conduct a successful investigation of the Cuban Club recently. We have begun the difficult process of reviewing collected evidence which will take a batter part of this month. We are excited to mention that we may have some interesting findings both physical evidence and historical and will report it here first when the time comes. Below are some photographs from the investigation. We used everything in our arsenal ranging from thermal imaging video recording to pre-recorded questions asked in a Cuban Spanish dialect. Many of our investigators that are not known to report being touched where and the descriptions of their personal experiences were detailed. For the first time SWFPI with help of its members utilized a highly sensitive microphone system simultaniusly recording from all levels of the building. Some of the findings are promising and we will continue to develop the system as we conduct more investigations.
The Trelles Clinic is a historical location in the heart of Ybor City Tampa. For more than a year now the location has sparked many stories about the possible paranormal activity that has been occurring inside the building. SWFPI will be conductingInvestigations for the next couple of months in the historical section of TAMPA called Ybor City. The Trelles Clinic is one of many.

Some have e-mailed us asking the answer to this question. The source of this strange light phenomenon is from a section of spiderweb. The light from the flash reflects back from a potion of the web creating a fussy/glowing form.
Currently SWFPI is conducting and developing procedures for real time UFO investigations using some of the most advanced equipment available. Utilizing MUFON field techniques and thorough documentation SWFPI will cover spans of the Florida interior and coasts to increase the chance of capturing solid video and photographic evidence if the chance arises. SWFPI has no interest in posting fabricated evidence and will only present evidence of this aforementioned subject matter until thoroughly scrutinized. Update October 6, 2008. The location depicted in this photo is the Federal Building or now know as the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center Down Town Ft Myers one SWFPI’s current investigations.
Once again the Gathering was a great success and loads of fun. We all really learned new things and met new people. Thanks to all the guest and speakers this event was possible. look for more development and the evolution of this idea to bring the the investigative and research community together in the paranormal. More now are involved day by day. The mission to bring the community together in a objective and excepting atmosphere held strong and many benefited from it and made new friends and contacts. The only reason this event has been successful is because of those that participated and the hard work by the speakers and the volunteers behind the scenes. This event will continue to stay true to its objective mission statement and will never take profit for we are not a business we are a community. Again, thanks to all that participated and we will see you next year or sooner.
Thats right SWFPI is officially TAPS family and we are volunteering our time to make the TAPS-con Event interactive and full of exploration of the Paranormal from an investigative perspective. Working close with local paranormal investigative groups and Florida and National TAPS family members, SWFPI is working hard at creating a interactive hub for the general public to interact with the investigative community. Promoting objective education and insight of paranormal phenomena allowing all sides of the spectrum of thought to have a voice. Heritage Hotel and Hammerheads Restaurant was investigated by SWFPI in conjunction with S.P.I.R.I.T.S of St Petersburg. Southwest Florida Paranormal Investigations (SWFPI), a TAPS family member, performed an investigation and assessment of suspected paranormal activity at the Heritage Hotel. The investigation was conducted under the guides of employees and guests of the inn have reported experiencing possible paranormal activities within the inn. Also, under the supervision and participation of SPIRITS of St Petersburg.
SWFPI conducted an investigation in order to determine an opinion as to the level of suspect paranormal activity and to possibly present data that supports suspected paranormal activity. SWFPI visited the site on May 10th, 2008 and conducted their investigation between the hours of 9:00pm, May 10th and 2:15am, May 11th.
